NGET notify parishes about upcoming traffic management for National Grid Energy Transmission’s (NGET) proposed substation near Woolavington.

From Monday 12 January-Tuesday 13 January 2026, one of the lanes on Woolavington Road will be partially closed, with traffic management measures in place to enable traffic to use the road safely. The affected area of Woolavington Road will be a small section that runs by our temporary compound. Please see the attached map for reference.

This work will enable NGET to safely make alternations to the existing overhead line route in preparation for the proposed Woolavington substation.

This closure has been co-ordinated and agreed with Somerset Council and will be removed once the work has been completed.
